Life Update - I Start Collage Tomorrow! (Some changes being made. - Please Read!!!)

Very quick blog post

Hello everyone!

So tomorrow I will be starting collage (UK collage, not american. Basically I will be in Year 12/11th grade.) I will be study BTEC Level 2 in Creative Media Studies, and I will be re-taking my Maths GCSE, as I didn't get a C or above in Maths.

As I will be starting collage, their will be changes to how often I can post. I don't know yet how busy collage will make me, how many deadlines that I have est, est. I have only been able to post a lot since the start of this blog, as I was on a 3 mouth holiday, after I had finished school and my GCSE's.

Anyway (getting to the point) for now, I will be posting from now on a least twice a week (I will try! And if I have the time or I'm not that busy, there will be more posts then 2.)

Andddd, as I won't be posting a lot, I have decided to make the blog posts that I make a lot longer, then what they are now. Their will still be some posts that are short like Brain Dumps, for example, as they are meant to be short and week.

I will also be starting a new type of blog post, where I talk about how collage is going, how I'm handling it, advice for people who will be starting collage new year, talking about a course, est, est. Basically, A Brain Dump about collage life. This will be a weekly post

Overview of changes

  • Less blog posts per week (at least 2 blog posts, maybe more if I have time.)
  • Much longer blog posts (as I will be posting less.)
  • Some blog posts will stay short (like Brain Dumps
  • A new type of blog post where I talk collage life (weekly post)

So yeah, that's it really. It's really hard for me to make changes to this blog. Bit sad really, but you know, needs must, and "There's nothing wrong with a change!"

If you are not very keen on the new post, then it's fine! I will still be doing my normal posts that I'm making now!

Hopefully I can blog tomorrow, If I can then I will be telling you all about my first day.

Bye guys!!!!

Just Me - 30 Lessons I Have Learned From Secondary School

Hello everyone!

So, as I have now finished secondary school (high school) and been enjoying a extended summer holiday for the past 8 weeks, I though't that I would share with you what I have learned from secondary school. I'm also doing this as school as came into my mind again, as I have to pick up my GCSE results in 2 weeks time!

Anyway here is 30 lessons that I have learned from secondary school.

1. Never let somebody borrow your pens/pencils. Even if they are the nicest person in the world, they probably won't give it back to you.

2. No matter how much pens you have, you will lose them all within a week. Same with the rest of your stationary.

3. People are assholes.

4. You will most likely be criticized if your different in anyway. It's funny, that in 2015, people still criticize people who are different. If you dress in a different way, or like different things, you will be criticized for it.

5. If a teacher say's a piece of homework can't be done in one night. They are lying. Anything can been done in one night.

6. Got a 500 word essay to write? It can be done in one night. It will be shit, but it can be done in a night.

7. Revision is rather pointless. It just goes through one ear and out of the other.

8. Every day dragggggggggggggggs on while a school.

9. If you hate school, like me, you will probably be counting down the days until you have a holiday or until you leave for good. 192 days, 191 days, 190 days, and so on.

10. Food from school canteens are:

1. Shit.

2. Overpriced.

11. At lot of the stuff teachers banged on about, was never important, and will never be in my later life.

You don't know how to do your taxes? Well at least you Pythagoras theorem. You use that skill ALL THE TIME, right?

12. School's need to teach more important stuff, such as buying a house/car, taxes and how banks work. Not pointless stuff that "you need to know when your doing _____ or _____."

13. Did I mention that people are assholes?

14. While at school, a minute feels like a hour. A hour feels like a Day, and a day feels like a year.

15. Music like really helps to speed the day along.

16. Doodling in books helps to.

17. A lot of teachers are assholes as well.

18. In 2015 there are still clique's. It's not as defined but it's still there.
Here are some of the clique's at my old school.

  • The Hipsters. They love Festivals, alcohol, alternative music, cigarettes, drugs, weird clothing that make's them look like there grandparents and posh boys/girls.
  • The Sluts. They love dick.
  • The Man-whores. They love pussy and tits. They also love to talk about all 52 2 people they have had sex with.
  • The Chavs. They love smoking, drugs and pissing of teachers. They will be going far in life, with there BTEC Level 1's in hairdressing and pluming.
  • The Nerds. They love school, sucking up to teachers and nerdy things.
  • People in smaller groups: they like not even worth talking about, they are like nobodys!!!11111
  • And finally. People with no groups. Good for you! You like doing your own thing.
Before people ask, I was not in any group. Also no group was ever like the plastics of anything.

19. Energy drinks will get you through any day.

20. 99% of people didn't listen in sex education. As clearly shown when somebody gets chlamydia or gets pregnant at 16. #ilistenedinsexed

21. You will forget every single thing your learned in school as soon as you leave.

"Hitler? Like who even."

22. Once you leave school, you will stop talking to people who were your friends. Sad but true.

23. When not paying attention to a teacher, and they decide ask you a question, as they know you not paying attention. Just say that your can't remember the answer or just guess.

24. You heart beats like a million beats a second when somebody asks:

"Did you do the homework?"

Me: What.

What Homework.

"It was set last mouth."

Me:

25. This. So true it hurts.

26. Sometimes, when the day was just insufferable, I would think: "Maybe if I bang my head hard enough on this desk, I could knock myself out."

27. People are annoying.

"You saw your friend yeasterday, stop fucking screaming."

"OMG move!"

"You walk so slowwwwwwwww."

28. Me when I had enough of the annoying peoples bs.

29.  Monday to Friday = drags on and are so slow. Saturday and Sunday = goes so fast.

Like what even.

I demand to speak to the professor of life. EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!

30. What ever stuff your going through while at school...

...It will all be alright in the end, trust me. And if you can't wait to leave, keep counting down the days, I will come soon! :)

So there you go! I hope you enjoyed this post. If I have overused GIFS, I'm sorry!

Byeeeeeeeee!

RIP Cilla Black

1943-2015

Just a very quick post as its 02:53AM

I have just heard the news that Cilla Black, a British icon, has past away at her home in Spain. At the age of 72.

For those who are don't know who Cilla Black is. She was a singer turned TV presenter.

She begin her singing career at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, while working with The Beatles. When The Beatles became really famous, Cilla was hired to The Beatles manger. In her singing career she sang such hits as Alfie, Love Of The Loved, Your My World, Step Inside Love, Something Tells Me (Somethings Gonna Happen) and Anyone Who Had A Heart, Her biggest hit, which was the best selling single for a female recording artist of the 60's,

You can listen to these songs in the Spotify playlist below.

Cilla, is most known for her TV presenting. Presenting her first show on the BBC "Cilla" in the late sixties led to ITV Saturday night hits "Blind Date" and "Surprise Surprise"

Now, I want to set to how I was introduced to Cilla.

To set the scene it's autumn 2014.

Blind Date and Surprise Surprise had been off the air for years, I knew that she had presented it, and that it was a good program.

Anyway, so in Summer 2014 a trailer for a biopic about Cilla's early life came out. The TV show was to be aired in the Autumn. (By the way, the series is really good! I recommend that you watch it.)

When the first episode aired I was so fascinated. The series stared Sheridan Smith in the role of Cilla, and she was fantastic. I found the show so interesting, as it was about a era of life and music I have never experienced first hand. When I really fell in love was the songs. Smith covered a lot of Cilla's early songs in the series. She is a fantastic singer by the way.

Anyway, when I heard Anyone Who Had A Heart, I thought that it was a brilliant love song. Strong and emotional. After that I had downloaded a lot of Cilla's songs.

Anyway, sorry if this is really rambled. I'm tired.

RIP Cilla, you was a british Icon. Your fantasic Singing atbites, and the warmth of your personalty, which lit living rooms every Saturday night will be deeply missed.

RIP. xx

A Quick Update!

Just a quick little update, there will be a new blog post coming after this.

I've added some new features to the blog! There is now a mailing list. Which will basically send you a email every time I add a new blog post, so you never miss anything.

There is now a follower section, this is the old version, which I will be keeping. As I don't want to use Google+. If this version ever gets shut down, I'll switch to Google +. I may switch to Google+ if I find that the old version isn't good for my needs.

That's all for now, new post coming today!

Bye!

Just Me - Technical Difficulties!

Hello everyone!

Don't you just hate it when everything goes tits up?

Basically the DVD drive in my laptop is dead/dying. This is a rather minor thing to go wrong, but I do use it a lot, to play and create my own DVD's. I think that it is a problem with the laser. As it will no longer burn or play discs (it trys!) I have been trying to fix it, so that is why I haven't posted since Monday? or Tuesday?

My plan is to buy a external DVD drive, when I have the money.

Anyway. enough about that.

Nothing really else has happened, and its 10:19PM right now, so I really have no energy to write a really good blog post (I'm Sorry!)

The only real other thing that has happened is that the B-Roll footage of Vogue has leaked! Some of you probably don't care, but for me and other Madonna fans, its a really big deal, as we had clips and snippets of this. So it's like all of my birthdays and Christmases all rolled into one.

So yeah, that's it. I'm sorry that it's not a lot, better content will come tomorrow!

Bye for now!

An Introduction

Hello internet!

Well, I don't really know why I'm saying "Hello" to anyone as this blog is new, so most likely nobody is reading this. Maybe somebody has accidentally stumbled across this, while searching through the endless void that is the internet. Maybe, this person was looking for porn or something (hey, this is the internet we're talking about, 1 in 5 searches is for porn) and they found this page. My name is Sam what's yours? :)

Well, anyway welcome! I'm sending you a virtual hug, whoever you are. This is my blog, my first blog actually. I'm still new to this, so everything may look shitty right now, hopefully everything will look perfect when I get the hang of it. Right now, I am unsure on what I will be posting, I will be posting some stuff from my life, and some other stuff.

(Possibly an) fun fact! This blog is called Just Random Me as I will be posting random stuff. Like Duh.

What I have planned to post:

Just Me - Stuff about me and my life, as well as some stories from the past and stuff like that.

Film/TV/Music/Book/Product Reviews - I will most liking be doing TV,film and music. As I don't read a lot of books. I'm unsure if I will do product reviews, but I am open to the idea.

Cooking Recipes? - If I would decide to do this, It will be a rare feature, as cooking is not my forte.

Ask Sam - This will be introduced when more people read this blog. It will be an agony aunt sort of thing, where I give you advice and stuff.

And that's it! I hope that this is a good first blogpost. I don't really know how to end these things so, like goodbye, have a good day/night!
